The CHC40321 - Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention equips individuals with the skills to support vulnerable children, young people, and families. This qualification focuses on case management, legal and ethical frameworks, trauma-informed care, and working with culturally diverse communities. It prepares professionals for roles in child protection, youth work, and family intervention, fostering safety and well-being in challenging environments. Graduates can work in community services, residential care, and related sectors
Packaging Rules
16 units must be completed:
- 11 core units
- 5 elective units, consisting of:
- at least 3 units from the electives listed below
- up to 2 units from the list below or any endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Where appropriate, electives may be packaged to provide a qualification with a specialisation.

100 Points ID
Includes documents like your passport, driver’s licence, Medicare card, or visa that add up to 100 points of identification.
Education Certificates
Copies of your school, college, or training certificates like diplomas, transcripts, or qualifications.
Work Experience
Details about your past jobs—what you did, where you worked, and what skills you used or learned.
Supporting Documents
Extra documents that help your RPL case, like reference letters, photos, or work samples.

Evidence Collection
Gather and prepare evidence of your prior learning, work experience, and relevant skills. This includes documents such as qualifications, work samples, employment records, and references.
Review of Evidence
After you submit your portfolio, one of our affiliated registered training organizations (RTOs) will evaluate it. If the assigned assessor requires more information, they will contact you. If any skill gaps are identified, the RTO may provide a trainer to help you enhance your skills at no cost.
Certification!
RPL Fast Track works with Registered Training Organizations to provide nationally recognized qualifications in Australia. These qualifications are equivalent to those obtained through full-time studies and can also be used for licensing applications.
